Office and Program Manager

Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, an arts services organization, is seeking an office and program manager for a 30-hour/week position. Candidates must have strong organizational, communications, computer, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to process detailed information. Experience with FileMaker Pro, Excel, InDesign or Quark a plus. Duties include database, cash, and calendar tracking and management; building membership and membership relations; grant management; and acting as a liaison between the executive director and other staff. Competitive salary. Some training will be provided.

Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, founded in 1976, serves as Arts Council for Sullivan County, New York. We present programs in the visual, performing, literary, and media arts and service a county-and valley-wide constituency of artists, arts groups and the general public.

Our mandate is to lead collaborations that advance the arts; to encourage and support cultural programs relevant to all citizens; and to provide services to individual artists, arts organizations, and the area’s arts community. The DVAA has over 300 members, many of whom divide their time between Sullivan County and New York City.

The staff advocates for advancement of the arts on the local, state, national, international level. As a catalyst for events not generally available, DVAA sponsors an outstanding variety of arts and cultural programs in its facilities, the Delaware Arts Center,on the National Register of Historic Places, and the Tusten Theatre, a fully-renovated 160-seat facility.

The DVAA provides free services to artists that include grant conduit support, information networking, grant-writing assistance, collaborative project incubation, fellowships, space, and promotion support. Our organization provides commissions, fiscal sponsorship, and technical training.

The DVAA publishes the Artsletter, a bi-monthly publication, and maintains www.ArtsAllianceSite.org to serve our members and the general public.
